The Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior (JNEB) has extended the submission deadline for its upcoming special issue focused on SNAP-Ed.
This special issue will highlight the impact, lessons learned, and future opportunities stemming from SNAP-Ed, formerly the nation’s largest comprehensive nutrition education program. Topics may include program reach and outcomes, policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) strategies, evaluation, partnerships, implementation, and the impacts of the program’s recent defunding.
The issue welcomes a variety of manuscript types, including research articles, research briefs, reports, perspectives, GEMs, mixed methods analyses, and systematic reviews.
New Submission Deadline
August 31, 2026
We will share the official Call for Papers as soon as it is available. In the meantime, we wanted to make our members aware of the deadline extension so you have additional time to prepare your submission.
We encourage researchers, practitioners, evaluators, and others involved in SNAP-Ed to consider sharing their work and contributing to this important collection documenting the program’s impact and informing the future of nutrition education. Please send any questions to info@asnna.us.org
